Description

A refreshing and elegant vegan dessert blending tart grapefruit with sugar and cool mint for a balanced flavor.

Ingredients

  • {amount} cups juice of 2 fresh ruby red grapefruits
  • {amount} cup boiling water
  • {amount} cup chopped fresh mint leaves
  • {amount} cup sugar

Instructions

    Bring water, mint, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves.

    Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 3 minutes.

    Add grapefruit juice and pour through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on solids and discarding them.

    Cool the mixture completely.

    Freeze in a shallow nonreactive metal container, stirring and crushing lumps with a fork every 30 minutes until evenly frozen, for 2 to 3 hours.
